THE TOURIST IS ALWAYS THE OTHER
The times when this phrase seemed to apply to many of us are definitely over. Today, tourists are no longer an alien primitive people, but have been researched and analysed as part of our society in all its manifestations, so that there is a suitable label for everyone who moves around. We are all tourists, and - whether secretly or openly - we like to be. Added to this is the fact that work and leisure time are merging and seemingly contradictory terms such as ‘tourism’ and ‘everyday life’ are becoming increasingly difficult to separate in the course of this development. There is a logical consequence to be drawn from this: It is necessary to prepare for ‘everyday tourism’.
